The Bento Three is the perfect lunch box for children who prefer sandwiches, wraps or salads but still like some variety. The three large compartments give you plenty of options for lunchtime. You can even customise the Bento Three further with our handy Bento Accessories like Cups and Dividers to create more sections!

The individually sealed, leakproof* compartments in the Bento Three allow you to pack sandwiches, fruit, veggies, crackers and yogurt side by side without the risk of spills. Our Bento Boxes are airtight, so you can pack lunches the night before, or even a couple of days in advance!

FAQs

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BENTO THREE & FIVE?

Great question! Though the Bento Three and Five boxes look the same on the outside and are the same size, they have different configurations inside! 

The Bento Three has 3 compartments and is good for larger items like a full sandwich or wrap.

The Bento Five has 5 compartments, so it’s great for packing more variety or for ‘grazers’ who prefer small amounts of different foods. 

HOW DO I USE MY LUNCH BOX?

Our Bento Three & Five lunch boxes are designed to pack a range of fruits, veggies, snacks, sandwiches and more. These bento boxes have no removable parts which makes them super easy to wash and means no parts go missing!

You can also add our Bento Dividers or Bento Cups to pack more variety in the lunch box. 

‘Wet’ foods such as dips and yoghurt can be safely packed next to dry foods in our Bento lunch boxes by following our  Bento Lunch Box Packing Instructions. 

Bento Three and Bento Five Lunch Boxes can be hand wash or washed on the top rack of the dishwasher after each use and then left to air dry. Refer to our Bento Lunch Box Care Instructions for more details.

HOW MUCH FOOD DOES THE LUNCH BOX HOLD?

The Bento Three and Five lunch boxes both hold 980mL which is just under 4 cups of food.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY LUNCH BOX?

Little Lunch Box Co products are all made of durable hard wearing BPA-free, food safe materials. We recommend hand washing in hot soapy water and drying in an open, upright (like a tent) position overnight.

HOW DO I STORE MY LUNCH BOX?

We recommend that you always store your lunch box with the lid open when not in use to allow the seal to fully dry. Storing your lunch box with the lid closed can result in mould growth. 

CAN I PRE-PACK THE LUNCH BOX THE NIGHT BEFORE?

Yes! Because each compartment is airtight, our Bento lunch boxes can be packed the night before and kept in the fridge ready to go in the morning.

IS THE LUNCH BOX LEAKPROOF? 

The Bento Three and Five lunch boxes are leakproof for wet foods only, like dips and yoghurts, thicker sauces etc. They are NOT leak proof for liquids. For that reason, foods such as watermelon and citrus fruits may need a paper towel folded up at the bottom to soak up any additional liquids to prevent liquids from crossing over to other compartments of the lunch box. DO YOU HAVE ANY REPLACEMENT PARTS OR ADDITIONAL PARTS?

Yes - there are removable dividers to allow for more variety in the lunch box, and replacement latches. You can find all of our replacement parts here. 

Some of our older Bento Three and Five Lunch Boxes have a different style of latch which is attached to the lid. Please get in touch with us at support@littlelunchboxco.com.au if you need this style of latch or if you are unsure which style you have.

HOW DO I PUT MY CHILD'S NAME ON MY LUNCH BOX?

We recommend using Vinyl stickers to label your child’s lunch box - there are a wide variety of options available online. 

DO THE LUNCH BOXES COME WITH A WARRANTY?

Of course! We have a full 12 month manufacturers warranty on our products. Wear and tear is a normal part of any product and common with products made for, and used by, children. Wear and tear or damage caused by drops are not a fault created during the manufacturing process and will not be claimable under our manufacturers warranty. 

We recommend that you always store your lunch box with the lid open when not in use to allow the seal to fully dry. Storing your lunch box with the lid closed can result in mould growth. This will not be covered under your manufacturer's warranty.
